About Luca Mendieta

I´m Luca Mendieta, an illustrator and graphic designer from Spain currently working in editorial Illustration for magazines. I studied Graphic Design at the School of Arts of Guadalajara (Spain), where I developed a strong interest in collage, a technique that I approach both from a very classical way, with scissors and glue, and with the digitalization of old illustrations that I play with in the computer. I find in collage the best medium to express an ironic point of view, putting in dialogue delicate illustrations from the 19th century and the excesses of more contemporary compositions.
